RIVERS OF
LIGHT IN GRAPHICS
Original art that, in some cases, has the sacred geometry
of crop circles as an organizing principle and in other
cases combines words, colors, and shapes to create
meditation mandalas.
This section is presented in reverse order of when the
creations emerged. Shapes of
Harmony: Art and the Sacred Geometry of Crop Circles
came most recently. Blessings
for the Journey were my first venture into 'art' and
they were followed by the In-Visible Meditations.
I don't especially enjoy reading directions or manuals so
when I bought my Illustrator Graphics program, I just spent
a lot of time experimenting and in trial and error. Much of
what resulted in Blessings for
the Journey and the In-Visible Meditations were big
surprises. Neither did I set out to create what finally
emerged nor, generally speaking, could I recreate what had
come forth. In that period, there were times when my son,
Michael, would come to my desk and say, "Good morning!" I
was completely unaware that the entire night had passed.
Shapes of Harmony has
resulted from an entirely different and complementary
process. In this case, I go to
http://www.zefdamen.nl/CropCircles/en/Crop_circles_en.htm
and download directions for recreating on paper a crop
circle that presented itself in a field in England. The
directions are very precise. If I misread one, it can make
the entire drawing off balance. I remember one drawing
where the final image looked quite simple yet I had spent
almost a week working on it because I just could not get
the geometry of it. It is called "Beacon Hill." It is a
circle of three dolphins and you can view on the page
entitled "The Sacred Geometry of Crop Circles" (following
section). It has remained my desktop background since.
